Early Morning Down By The Seine Monday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
Not to bore you, but we found no bore. The mouth of the Seine does in fact empty into the Atlantic at Le Havre, but it does so after being mitigated in such a manner that a bore typically doesn't happen. Of course during heavy storms things can get pretty hectic, but no one seems to think you can do anything remotely like surfing at that point.
Meanwhile at 2am in Hermosa Beach, the wind is out of the SSW at 3.3kts and the sea surface is lightly textured. The air is 58.8 and the water is 61.2 at the buoy. It's a SW swell it of 216 at 3.0' and by daybreak there should be a little something to make things interesting!
Meanwhile, it appears they couldn't spell SRUF right in Versailles either. This lad was off to play rugby and couldn't imagine why we thought his shirt was interesting…
