Tetracycline Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Yet another beautiful summer's day.  And if you were considering climbing the Eiger on the day that we shot this pic, you'd probably would've made the first two sections without any problem.  The record for the climb is an insane 2hrs and 22min by the Swiss Alpinist Ueli Steck.  But a long day or two days is more like it.  It's over 5,000' and the climb is like putting two El Capitans together.  The primo conditions are to get a high pressure dome over the area and climb as fast as you can...

20 miles visibility with light winds in the 1 to 3kt range and smooth sea surface.  Both the air and the water were checking in at 64º and warming up during the day quite nicely.  Low tide was at 6:53am -0.9' and high tide is at 1:42pm 3.9'.  It's a south swell out of 199º at 3.0' and it was 1' to 2' and we decided to take a plunge to avoid dragging our skags...  Maybe mañana...
