Sorry for the late report today. The
Professor
is coaching the BMHS surf team along with Vince Toyama and after the competition (which BMHS won quite handily by the way) he went for a surf with the Coach and TJ. But we get ahead of ourselves...

Crystal clear visibility this morning (at least 25miles) and a cloudless morning sky. (Note: we're using the 6am stats even though it's closer to 6pm.) Winds are offshore by 3.9kts and the sea surface is glassy. The air temp is 64.6f and the water is 64.4f. High tide is at 5:22am +3.9' and low tide will follow at 10:22am +3.1'. The surf is hitting the buoy at 3.3' and it's was hitting the beach at about 3' to 4'.

Now the surf would be a lot better, except for the fact that the Professor just got a new blade and has effectively clobbered any size to this swell. We did get some good waves this morning, with TJ and the Coach holding a seminar on late take-offs. It was fun, the weather and wind were damned near perfect and the group in the water was resonating to a pretty fine vibe. It looks like it's dropping a bit, but like the Coach always says (make sure you imitate the Coach's voice here,) "You gotta go down and LOOK at it." Okay, we'll see you in the morning!

Hey! "If you can't laugh at yourself, make fun of other people."
