Transformer Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

After all of the fires, smoke and ash, it looks like we've got a bit of a respite.  The damage is incredible.  One can only imagine coming back to a scene like the one above.

The weather has started to turn back to it's typical off-shore/on-shore regimen.  Still a bit of haze in the air, dulling an otherwise clear sky.  We're calling it 19miles visibility.  You can see across the bay, but the details are a bit fuzzy.  Currently winds are calm and the sea surface is glassy.  The air temperature is 60.3f and the water is 60.8f.  Low tide is at 6:52am +3.0' (which is a pretty high, low) and high tide is at 12:49pm +5.1'.  The buoy is reading 2.0' and the surf doesn't look like it got the message.  Surf is 1' and not looking very good.

The forecast looks pretty dim as well.  We checked out the Eastern Pacific Satellite this morning and it doesn't look like we have any storm activity to the north of us in the  Gulf of Alaska.  So a good day to go to work or rearrange that sock drawer.  Of course you could start your Christmas shopping!  We wear XL T-shirts and 36" Trunks...
