Technopop Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

This morning we took Lawrie the Eel Morey out for a surf lesson.  Despite some crashy shorebreak she acquitted herself quite well.  Our photo was from a shoot at Cal State Dominguez with a security mirror.  She was impersonating the descending surf goddess.  Pretty cool!!

Cloudy early turning warm later in the day.  Winds were calm and the sea surface is smooth.  The air temperature is 67.3° and the water is 66.9°.  High tide was at 9:04am +4.3' and low tide will be at 2:10pm +2.2'.  The buoy is reading a 2.6' swell out of 225°.  We're calling it 2' to 3' and some nice solid waves early in the day.

Our second photo is Mark Hall, Janice Hall and LoLa.  They're mugging for the camera under the Morrison bridge in Portland.  If you should find yourself in Portland ever, give Mark a call.  He was a gracious, generous host and really showed us a lot of Portland.  Some great food, clubs and an active street scene.

So this is our last regularly scheduled report for a week!  We'll be joining Miloe for a week on the west side of Oahu.  We're just hoping it doesn't get too big...  If Miloe will let us use his computer we'll send reports when we can...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
