Feelin' Groovy Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind.  The question is: What are these strange runes?  Could be the tops of snow capped mountains peeking through the clouds.  Could be the Aleutian archipelago from near space.  Could be secret sand writing left on the strand by wind spirits...  Could be...

It IS windy.  At checkout we had onshore winds at 5.6kts and light chop.  By 9:30 it was gusting to 17kts and the sea surface was full-on victory at sea.  Occasional rain squalls, clouds and 5 miles visibility.  The air temp was 49.3˚ and the water was 56.5˚.  High tide was at 7:18am +6.5' and low tide will follow at 2:16pm -1.4'.  We have a confused west swell out of 265˚ at 6.6' and it's breaking everywhere at once from 3' to 5' to 7' mush burgers on the outside.

Imagine how cold the seat is in that outhouse!  (Note the outhouse on the right, in the photo of LoLa at Brundage Mtn.)
Mark Hall (SeaWolf)
(LoLa's comments featured, well digger's, brass monkey's and brass bras.  The actual outside air temp:  +17˚f...  Ed.)
