Not A Tooth, It's A Fang Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We're going to have to update our "Sandy, Queen of Sapphire" file.  She's now riding a floro-orange kneeboard (as yet un-named.)  She was spotted flying over-under-sideways-down north of the rocks in her usual habitat.  This was last April on "Blue Topaz."

It was overcast, just as the "Fogust" prognosticators said it would be.  10 miles visibility as the wind changed to 2kts offshore around 9am.  The sea surface calmed right down and it was smooth.  The air temp was 63.5˚ and the water was 67.5˚.  High tide was right in the middle of things at 8:40am +3.7' and low tide will be at 1:09pm 2.5' if you want to surf through lunch.  We have SSW swell out of 195˚ at 3.0' and it's 2' to 3' at most spots.

The Professor's pig roast was pretty great, but if you were sporting bare gams it was nice to sidle up to the roaster and warm those legs... (photo: Carol Covelli)
