Waterproof Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Thank God the tiki bar is open...  Thank you John Hiatt...  Some late night gathering past the lawn in the lounge...  (Photo Covelli-Roberts)

Started out overcast this morning and started breaking up around 9am, visibility improving to almost 15miles.  Winds were strong from the south, but backed off mid-morning to 7 kts from the SW, leaving the surface with a bit of bump, but not impossible.  The air temp was 62.0˚ and the water was a chilly 66.0˚.  Lots of long suits in the water.  High tide was at 10:46am +4.5' and low tide will be at 4:06pm +1.7'.  We have a weak SSW swell out of 199˚ at 2.6' and that's making it 1' to 2'.  Now, if you have some time on your hands it's been blowing early and actually getting better later in the morning.  If the swell just bumps up a bit it could be exponentially better...  We're consulting our slide rules...

85lbs worth of piggy, 2 racks of ribs and a pork loin - gone!  We found three revelers under the table chewing on the corners of the table cloth...  (Photo:  Pork International Guide:  Covelli-Roberts)
