Monstro Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

If you haven't had a chance to head out and see the humpback, blue or gray whales don't miss the chance to see them close-up here in the local waters.  LoLa convinced the Professor to take his new Barahona SUP out to the KHYC mile marker and they saw two humpbacks put on a remarkable show. It was like watching a pair of school buses try to out-jump each other!  For those who thought she had a harpoon, she offers her paddle for inspection...

Hazy sun and less than 10 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore by 3.3kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temperature was 55.5˚ and the water was 60.3˚.  Low tide was at 8:48a, +2.3' and high tide will be at 1:40pm +3.1'.  We have a 2.3' swell out of the west at 270˚ and it's 2' to 3' at most spots.  A bit wally crashy early, but some peaks before the tide floats it...

No, we didn't take this pic!  But it looked just like this!  When they're in the water the white looks neon blue!
