Queen Of The Roller Derby Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Yesterday while checking out the surf we counted 75 paddlers, kayakers, boats and ONE stupid shit jet skier who was doing about 30kts through the whole circus.  If the whales are as sentient as we are lead to believe (I believe, I believe!) next time he blasts through there, that momma humpback should take that huge pectoral fin and knock his ass back to the breakwall!  Just sayin'...  Here's a shot from the Garcia and Clark's expedition this weekend...

Started out a fairly warn nice day and the clouds came in this afternoon and now it's an official rain!  At checkout we had 15 miles visibility under partly cloudy, clouding skies.  Winds were out of the SE by 6.6kts and the sea surface had a light chop.  The air temperature was 65.1˚ and the water is 62.4˚ at the buoy.  Low tide was at 8:33am +1.3' and high tide is at 2:17pm +3.4'.  We have a west swell out of 265˚ at 3.6' and it was 3' to 4' depending on your position.  So stand up straight!

The Professor, for some time, has been constructing various accessories out of his home-grown Old-Hami Bamboo.  This is his latest, a music stand for ukulele enthusiasts.  A bit of polynesian flavor.  Built in Redondo, by Redondoans...
