A Post-Christmas Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Surfer always have a bit of a different take on things.  In this case it's the ugly Christmas sweater #1 modeled by surfer, photographer, world traveler Brendan Simmons.  This one isn't as ugly as it is terrifying.  Nothing quite as ominous as a hammerhead wearing a Santa hat...

Foggy this morning with less than a hundred yards visibility in some areas.  Winds were offshore by 2.7kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 49.5 and the water is 61.0.  Low tide is at 10:00am +2.2' and high tide is at 3:06pm +3.4'.  We have a WSW swell out of 243º at 2.3' and it was 2' to 3' and walled to impossible...

Not content to stick to the sweater theme, Christian decided it was time to break out the Christmas flannel (#2).  Personally, we're thinking this is an idea who's time has come...

There was some discussion about the appropriateness of Jah Morgan's sweater (#3).  Jetski suggested that this is where coal comes from.  We thought it was mined in deep pits in the Appalachian mountains, but this is Santa and anything is possible...

Our New Year's will be at Laurel Tavern at 5pm on the 31st so that we can all get home before the beach ball drops on the pier plaza...
