Expecting Moonlight Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

#1)  Nope, doesn't look like there's anything there to see...

10 Miles visibility as the sun backlit a huge plume of vapor from the Exxon Refinery.  Winds were annoyingly onshore from 5 to 7kts and the sea surface was rough.  The air temperature was 54.5º and the water is 59.7º.  High tide was at 11:35am +3.6' and low tide will be at 4:42pm +1.7'.  We have a SSW swell out of 208º at 4.3' and it was a jumbled 4', although the surf class made it look pretty good despite the wind...

We started out with Maggie in the cab, but an hour and a half later it was Enrique in a rented "lancha" across the Lagunas de Chacahua to our destination on the island.   Enrique kept it at around 20kts and it was all you could do to keep your eyelashes from beating the crap out of you eyes.  A young lady joined us for the voyage and it took an entire eight minutes before Enrique had her back on the rear thwart to keep him company for the ride...  It's always one of LoLa's (#2) favorite parts of the trip...

A few new restaurants, but the margaritas pale in comparison (#3) to the custom beverages that Capitán Don Congréjo was whipping up in the Rio Suite before dinner.  With the Professor acting as bar-back and lime squeezer they invented their own Cointreau using oranges and secret ingredients.  The wilderness brings out the best in folks...
