Speed, Power & Flow Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

So, let's hop in the bus (#1) and make our way back home.  This was a good move because they were using the bus as a bar and it was well stocked...

Looking gray this morning (#2) with 7 miles visibility and overcast skies.  Winds were out of the SE by 3 to 5kts.  The sea surface was a tad bumpy and the air temperature was 54.5º and the water was 60.8º.  Only one tide at 11:38am +0.3'.  There is a west swell out of 280º at 4.3' and it was a rollicking 4' to 6' with a couple of strong rips, around, under and through the pier.  Doc Scale and the Professor will attest to the rips and their ability to was you through the pier...

Some contemporary bracelets (#3) on the arms of our visiting revelers...

A FRESHY!  (#4) Jah Morgan and her new green whip, a couple of days ago, getting an application of wax from her porter/fiancé Mr. Christian.  He must've done a great job because she caught a couple of mackers just south of the office and rode them almost to the 10th St. tower.  This morning Christian caught an outside that looked for all intents and purposes to be a close-out and after getting a five on the take-off proceeded to go into a high-speed trim and cover at least a hundred yards before kicking out on the sand...  A really outstanding wave!

Redondo High against Palos Verdes mañana south of the Hermosa Pier.  Come down and watch some great prep surfing!  Contest starts at 6:30am...
