Wildebeest Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Yeah it was cold this morning here in the So.Bay (44.8º) but not as cold as Boise (#1) around the time it started to snow...  The water is hanging on around 58.1º and it's chilly but not impossible.  10 miles visibility this morning under hazy skies.  Winds were offshore by 2 to 3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  High tide was at 10:25am +6.3' and low tide was at 5:42pm -1.1' for the last of the minus tides this week.  We have a fat west swell out of 260º at 4.3' and it was 4' to 5' with some crunchy outsides.  Some good ones though as the tide came up and it started to peak a bit.  (#2)  Getting out could be a challenge, but Capt. Don Congrejo showed us the way with only a bump or two in the rip south of the break.  The office was making it hard to not get swept through the pier

Got a Pickle® wax remover for Christmas and we tried it out (#3) with splendid results!  It was chilly so we  used a hair drier to soften things up, but it really left a smooth, glossy surface.  We have no idea what's inside and we're not going to ask...
