Cinco de Drinko Tuesday & Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Above we have Birdie and the Professor after a good session at Sapphire.  Naw, it really wasn't breaking.  You know Sapphire, it never breaks.  But despite the fact that it wasn't breaking they paddled around and got some good exercise and there were some little waves *smirk*...

The morning started out with some sun and then a bit of fog crept through.  Winds were calm and the sea surface was rolling and then when the wind picked up it had a pronounced tack.  The air temperature was 57.9° and the water was 56.1°, but felt closer to 60.  High tide was at 8:31am +4.1' and low tide was at 1:58pm +1..0'.  The swell continues to pick up and at 8am it was 4.9' out of 270°.  We called it 4' to 5', but this evening the buoys are showing a 6.6' swell.  We checked Topaz and it was looking head high.  If the wind and tide cooperate, it could be good in the morning.

Hope you all had a good Cinco de Mayo!  It was kinda quiet, but that works sometime.
