Tiki Torch Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

These are the Box Brothers.  They have their own surfboard.  Buck Delameter rides for them.  It gets sanded and polished tomorrow.  One day soon, he will pick it up - then, he'll want to get it wet.  That's when the trouble will start.

The Tiki Torches have just come on and we finally got a minute or two to send out the report.  The following are the 7am readings:  10 miles visibility under partly cloudy skies.  Some areas of morning fog.  Winds started out calm and quickly turned onshore.  It started out bumpy and got worse.  The air temperature was 58.8° and the water is 61.2° at the buoy.  We surfed Hermosa Beach and it felt like it was getting close to 60, but we're not quite sure it was there.  Low tide was at 6:23am -0.3' and hide tide was at 1:15pm +3.2'.  The buoy is reading a 3.9' swell out of 270° and the waves were a bit bumpy at 3' to 4'.  A good workout and a pretty spring morning.

Our condolences go out to Tony "Paver" Cole on the loss of his father.  We understand he lived to be 91 and was still active and loved life.  Also in our thoughts is Kelly Behrens' father Tony who passed away last week.  We hope your fond memories and great experiences will help you through this difficult time.
