Thalloid Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

This morning we have a shot of some feets.  These feet are practicing how it might be to hang ten.  You can kinda imagine the nose of the board there under the feets.  So could we.  We took the photo thinking that if it ever happened we know what it was...

A really beautiful morning here in the So. Bay..  Visibility is 15 miles and the sky is clear.  Winds started off the morning offshore by 1.9kts and smooth conditions.  Of course the wind came up and now it's blowing about 12kts, straight out of the west and it's pretty choppy.  At 7am the air temp was 59.1° and the water is a toasty 62..8°  This morning is the first that we've been inclined to agree with the water temp.  It was pretty nice with a shorty.  Low tide was at 8:01am +0.2' and high tide will follow at 3:40pm +3.2'.  The buoy is reading a 3.9' swell out of 273° and were calling it waist to chest high.

T
here were some nice waves along the avenues and Topaz and Sapphire were going off.  Birdie was out on his San O' model and was thinking that maybe with the right wave he could fly over the rocks.  He was also thinking he might need the right tide.  Andrew Staich was getting some nice waves, but Duncan Avery the Redondo High Volleyball coach was on fire!  He connected some rights that made him look like he might beat Birdie over the rocks!
