May Day May Day Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

As you can see from the photo Buck Delameter is in town and he and the Professor were ripping the Hermosa Pier this morning.  It was sloppy, but hey, they're used to sloppy - sloppy is their middle name.  No, wait...  Actually their middle names are Kent and Robert.  So anyway despite all the sloppiness the water is getting warmer and they had their own fair share of fun...

The weatherman is calling for some showers tonight, but in the meantime we have hazy sun with 10 miles visibility.  The winds were offshore by 7.8kts with smooth sea conditions.  The air temp was 51.5° and the water was 59.2°.  Low tide was at 10:11am -0.3' and hide tide will follow at 5:25pm +3.9'.  The swell is out of 225° at 3.0' and we're calling the surf 2' to 3'.  Nothing to write home about, but fun none-the-less.

Buck gets his stick shaped this afternoon, so there should be good waves until he picks it up in a couple of weeks!  So wax up and be ready...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
