Lost Boys & Co...

"I didn't know her well, but after watching her in action I didn't want to know her well."
Joan Crawford on Bette Davis

Pic number one is a look at Avenue I on Sunday afternoon after Marco and the Professor spent the morning with Sandy and Chris battling the elements to get a few wind swept, rain battered, thundersprechted waves.  Yes.  It was worth it...

You should have been here yesterday.  Today looks nothing like yesterday.  Someone asked us how big was that wave that Tommy Horrigan caught, that we mentioned yesterday.  Okay, we're wimps, but we're saying 10'.  There was 3' of foam in the lip when it hit him and he wasn't half way down.  He shook it off, drove to the bottom, squirted off the turn and then cut back!  He was so far beyond 615 it took him ten minutes to paddle back.  It was the wave of the season.  But today things calmed down and we have 20 miles visibility and clear skies with an occasional cloud that didn't get the memo.  Winds were on early at 2 to 5 kts and the sea surface had a light chop.  The air temperature was 46.1° bracing degrees and the 54.7° water added to the general chilliness.  Low tide at 6:00am -0.7' and high tide at 12:12pm +4.1'.  We have a west swell out of 267° at 5.9' and some really nice waves in the 5' to 7' range.  Stand tall...

It's supposed to rain tomorrow.

Meanwhile, they have this new girl at Brother's in Hermosa.  Alec!  Your order is ready!

Finally, pic number three describes what I like about Mexico.  Nets, hoses, fans, laundry, gas cans - you know, all the stuff you need...  This is the guy you go to and say, "Hey, Juan!  Do you have three piston rings for a Chevy 305?"  He says, "Yeah, and the lifters too..."

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
