Titular Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Took us two weeks, but we finally caught the tide low enough again to do a bit of recon under the Redondo Pier.  Even though it's absolutely true, it seems like you're somewhere else.  Some great opportunities for angles, acute and oblique...

Yet another beautiful day!  Let's hope we're not using up all of the summer days here at the beginning of May.  You can remember what happened last year...  Cloudless skies and 25 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore at checkout at 3.4kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temperature was 67.2° and the water was 55.8°.  It looks like it should be warmer...  High tide is at 10:38am +3.7' and low tide will be at 3:30pm +1.8'.  #46221 tells us that we have a too SSW swell out of 202° at 2.0'.  Oddly enough, if you're patient and sit in the right spots, there are some little ones to be had.  Little, green, perfectly shaped waves that just kinda storm around your hips and knees making you happy down to your toes...

Rumor has it that the Professor spent a couple of hours this morning, hanging with José.  When he came out of the factory, he was covered with balsa dust and had a smile on his face.  Has anyone checked to see if that wooden blank is still above the bar?

Remember that Radio Margaritaville will be moving to channel 24 tomorrow on Sirius/XM radio...  You may not know it, but it sounds a lot like the soundtrack to your life...
