Fine Line Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Our editor wouldn't work yesterday, so we couldn't download the photos from our "Lost Brother's" tour of downtown.  Gathered at the 6th St. Tavern were Tio Ted, Lauri, Ronnie, Danger Girl, Marcy and LoLa working on the toasted cheese sandwich...  Thanks again to "Tarzan" Leko...(Photo:  Barry Santos for the LA Weakly)

Cloudy skies with 9 miles visibility.  Maybe it'll break in the pm, but no promises.  Winds out of the NW 302° at 2.2kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was 61.2° and the water is holding at 66.0°.  Low tide was at 7:31am +3.3' and high tide follows at 1:30pm +4.4'.  We have a SW swell out of 219° at 2.3' and it's not turning the corner.  1' to 2' and poor, but maybe mañana...

#4...
1.   Visualization. These days we talk about our physical health ad nauseam, but sometimes our mental health gets overlooked. The morning is the perfect time to spend some quiet time inside your mind meditating or visualizing. Take a moment to visualize your day ahead of you, focusing on the successes you will have. Even just a minute of visualization and positive thinking can help improve your mood and outlook on your work load for the day.
End of the week blues?  How about Kincaid's at 5:15pm for happy hour?  Walk, ride your bike or stroll from your car in the lot...

The best cure for sea sickness, is to sit under a tree.

Photo #2 is a portrait of the "Black Dahlia" that resides on the west wall of King Eddy's.  It provides a rather haunting visage dominating the west wall.  Still a work in progress, King Eddy's Saloon, should be fully operational sometime next year?  Great the way it is/was, it's going to get better - lots...  We'll let you know...
