Mesomorphic Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

This is how things spin out of control...  It all started out with Jetski getting a fin to the left eyebrow.  This is going to make a great scar.  Four lifeguards pouring over his wounded melon, ice packs, yards of self sticking bandages, forms and waivers etc.  In no time we're at the plastic surgeon's.  Yes, no ordinary sutures for this boy.  But it's a plastic surgeon...  "Whaddya think Professor?  A "B" or a "C"?"  How about a C+?  (Professor Doctor Titsling:  Modern Body Sculpting)

Beautiful morning with 20+ miles visibility and almost no clouds in sight.  Winds were light offshore at 3.2kts and the sea surface was glassy.  The air temperature was 66.5˚ and the water was a cool 66.0˚.  High tide was at 9:05am +4.0' and low tide will be at 1:55pm +1.9'.  We have a SSW swell out of 207˚ and it was 3.6' at the buoy and 3' to 4' and peakie at most spots.  One of the best mornings in recent months...

Pig Roast.  Saturday.  5pm.

Here we have the winner of the Hermosa leg of the Tour d' Frank.  Holding the yellow jersey aloft the Professor cruises to victory over a field filled with wheelmen, Freddie's, strollers, joggers, fishermen and tourists from places where there are more cell phones than sheep.  (Photo:  Jetski Vishnevsky:  Le Monde)
