Root Canal Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

The 7th Anniversary party for Brother's Burritos wasn't as good as you might imagine.  No... it was BETTER!  Extravagant giveaways, great food and enough tequila to float this Barahona Surfboard that was the centerpiece of the live auction that raised $900 for the employees!  Clarky was the MC, rafflemaster and auctioneer.  The cops showed up twice and both times Mike Leko, being the tallest white guy present, was sent out to mollify their strident attitudes...  (successfully, by the way...)  L. to R.:  Ivan, Rogelio, Yoshi, Oscar, José, Madison and Quil.  Not pictured:  Scott, Elder, Ryan and Brandon.  (Photo credit:  Jetsky Vishnevsky for International Brotherhood of Foam Mowers)

Overcast this morning with 10 miles visibility.  Winds light out of the SW by 2.3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was 69.3˚ and the water was an honest 71.2˚.  Low tide was at 9:17am +2.1' and high tide will follow at 4:37pm +4.7'.  We have a rising SW swell out of 225˚ at 2.0' and it was a fun 2' to 3' this morning and good enough to get Jimmy Utah out and raving...

Frank Sinatra would be a hundred years old this year.  The tribute at the Bowl would have made him proud.  Here we have LoLa, the Professor, Jetski and Taylor waiting to be picked up by Jetski's chauffeur and driven to the top of the bowl!  Why section "T"?  The popcorn is fresher than in the boxes...

Chilaquiles.  With over-easy fried eggs, cheddar, chips, peppers and "Boris Salsa."  Yowzum!
