A Tangerine Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Next time you're in Tangiers, have a tangerine.  They're named after Tangiers...

Cloudy and some unexpected rain early this morning.  Visibility is 2 miles and according to our predictors, the weather should stay wet and measurably below wild.  Winds are variable, predominantly out of the west to 6kts and the sea surface is bumped.  The air temperature is 54.3 and the water is holding at 58.8.  High tide was at 6:58am +6.7' and low tide will be at 2:07pm -1.4'.  We have a west swell out of 261º at 3' and that's making it 2' to 3' with some poor to fair shaped waves...  As soon as these fronts stop marching through we might get some more consistent waves...

Our own Joey Anderson graduated at the end of the Fall Semester and there was a really fabulous art/music/gastronomical event at the Casa Anderson in the Palos Verdes Alps.  Joey and Suzi cooked most of the food with the help of Peruvian cuisine expert Mencha and the specialty was Lomo Saltado. An absolutely fabulous quintet (featuring Joey's buddies Rick on bass and Derek on Piano) #1 played light jazz and set the mood for the afternoon.  After dinner, artist and guitarist Beau Rivard #2, played a set that featured his on the spot renditions of Cat Stevens and Harry Nielsen.  The Anderson house is a gem and was the perfect venue for all the artists and musicians who wanted to honor Joey's achievement...
