White Russian Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We discovered too late that we mis-numbered our pics in the last surf report.  #3 should be #1, #1 should be #2 and #2 should be #3.  In doing this we are aware that this really makes it more complicated than just being wrong in the first place.

Today's #1 is Matt Parker.  You might remember Matt from the early days of the surf league at Bishop Montgomery.  He has turned into a seasoned big wave charger and is regularly on the short list for biggest waves ridden in the South Bay.  Professionally, he raises mushrooms for the restaurant trade.  His company is called "Shiitake Happens."  No shiitake...

Mostly clear this morning with 20+ miles visibility.  Winds were offshore by 5.5kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was still chilly at 41.5 and the water is back to 58.3.  High tide is at 7:13am +5.7' and low tide was at 2:23pm -0.6'.  We had a greatly diminished swell at 5.9' from 272º west, but there were still some nice stacks from 4' to 6'...  A tad smaller mañana, then stronger going into the weekend...

This Friday's Happy Hour will convene at 5:30 on the patio at the Shade Hotel next to the Redondo Cheesecake Factory.  Dress warmly or don't dress at all...

Too matchy-matchy?  Well, okay a bit, but cute.  Elena and Jetski fresh from their trip to Vegas...

Finally, our question regarding #3 is:  How many women do you think work in the establishment in which this bathroom resides?  A: 7  B: 2 C: 0
The correct answer is C: 0.  We will not reveal the name of this business, but suffice to say that they are some of the best auto mechanics in the South Bay.  If cleanliness is next to godliness, then they should send missionaries here...
