Tender Is The Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

It's always a treat to see the Miloe's when we go to Oahu (#1 Barbara, LoLa, Uncle Chris & Buck.)  Uncle Chris kept us in plenty of waves, in fact sometimes they were a little intimidating for us.  This day at Barber's Point it was good size, but a tad windy.  We finally scored later in the trip when we hit it early before the wind came up and got some long rights... Ten miles visibility this morning under overcast/clearing skies.  Winds were light out of the SW by 3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 64.2 and the water is 67.8 at the buoy.  Low tide was at 7:32am +0.3' and high tide will be at 2:32pm 3.9'.  There's a SSW swell out of 206º at 2.3' and it's double over-toe at most spots.  Supposed to get hot as the week progresses and a south swell is on the way...  Be ready for both...

In photo the 2nd we have the Professor, Uncle Chris and Buck mugging for the camera before their go-out at Barber's Point/White Plains.  We discovered that a lot of older guys surf here and the vibe is very mellow...  Yes, we fit right in...

#3 Is the approach to "Flies" and the break there.  This day was about head-high.  We got it later when it was considerably larger and tested our equipment and courage...  Our equipment worked fine...

Happy hour this week will be at Samba!  Hope to see you there...
