A Solution Looking For A Problem Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Not just gray this morning, but looking cloudy in the meanwhile (#1).  Then for a couple of minutes the sun broke through and just when we thought it was an omen, it got cloudy again.  Damn.  Winds were WSW at 3 to 7kts and it was bumpy and lumpy.  The air was 64.0º and the water is 68.5º outside the wave zone.  High tide was at 11:00am +3.9' and low tide follows at 3:30pm +2.4'.  We have a SSW swell out of 201º at 3.0' and it was 2' to 3' and a bit disassociated...

And who should be coming into town today, but the newest member of the Sruf Familia, Santi Sergio! (#2).  Santi is a pilot for Iberia, a longboard devotee (a John Peck fan) and has a great spot in Ferrol, Galicia, Spain.  We have to make it back to Spain with our boards and trek a bit with him!

Had our hearing checked yesterday.  This (#3) is what it looked like.  Not quite deaf as a post, but deafer than most almost time for an earhorn...  Of course we had surfer's ear!  That's why they call it that...

Ever had Brendan drop in on you?  Now (#4) he's taking it to ridiculous lengths.  Really steep and he royally snaked this guy behind him!  Reminds us of the smoke jumper we asked, "Why do you jump out of perfectly good airplanes?"  He smirked, "They ain't never made a perfectly good airplane."  Touché...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
