Undercover Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

In our business (?) we often find the need for disguises essential.  We used #1 while investigating a skimming operation working out of a bowling alley.  Oddly enough when Jetski ran into Sam Elliot, he thought we had pulled off a fairly credible ruse...  Didn't fool the guys at Miramax though...

An absolutely brilliant morning out there!  Sunny with a few Toy Story® clouds bumping around.  Winds were calm and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temperature was 67.0º and the water is 68.4º.  Low tide was at 7:46am +0.0' and high tide will be at 2:31pm 4.7'.  We have a SSW swell out of 207º at 3.6' and it was 3' to 4' and so low tide that it was breaking off the outside sandbar that made it better than an hour later with more water.  Tides are not swinging so wildly the rest of the week, so there should be more water...

Here the Professor was tailing this blonde (#2) who was suspected of stealing pier pilings and selling them to yacht harbors in Maine.  She was taking the concrete pilings and replacing them with cardboard replicas!  Marco the Sharko ran into one of them and it disintegrated...  Lucky for him...

Sucking out at Burnout (#3) was this rip that was about a hundred yards wide and three hundred yards out to sea before it let go.  The SSW swell created a nasty spiral out there that looked like it could empty the entire beach.  A couple of guys rode it out and then had to paddle over to get anywhere close to the lineup...

Watch "Shorebreak: The Clarke Little Story" then go body surfing or boogie boarding...  Oh, and take photos while you're at it...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
