Who's In The Trunk Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Jenx getting some attention from Burnsy (#1), while looking across the table at a plate of French toast...

Fog this morning turning to a heavy haze by 10am.  Winds were annoyingly onshore by 3 to 4kts, just enough to rough up the playing field.  The air was 63.0º and the water is 68.4º at the buoy, but not at the beach where it's a couple of degrees cooler.  Low tide was at 8:30am +0.7' and high tide will be at 3:22pm +4.9'.  We have a strong SSW groundswell out of 203º at 4.3' and it was creating some 2' to 3' slabs that were a booger to ride.   A lot of Clarke Little bombing if you chose to go out...

That rip (#2) working at Burnout again this morning.  Billy Mac told us that they rescued 3 swimmers from that same maelstrom yesterday and it really put the lifeguards to the test.  Billy thought they should have called the boat or maybe a jetski, but they persevered and got everybody safely to the beach...  The Hawaiians really know how to use the skis.  Of course they have some HEAVY water, but just the same they can save a lot of time bobbing around...

Steve O'Brien strikes again!  This time it's Doc? (#3) and his iconic mustache.  We need some stickers!
