Bidet Isn't French For Friday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
One of the celestial gifts of getting up early to go surfing is that sometimes the sunrises are beyond spectacular. This (#1) was looking east from our perch on the sand in Hermosa this morning. As it turns out, we also got to watch the Space Station soar overhead as we were loading the bus...
10 miles visibility under partly cloudy skies (that really added to the sunrise light show.) Winds were calm and the sea surface had some light texture. The air temp was 71.0º and the water was actually cooler at 70.2º. Low tide was early at 5:11am +1.2' and high tide will follow at 11:28am +5.1'. We have a SSW swell out of 200º at 3'. We'll call it 3' with some walled up faces that only the fleet could appreciate. A couple of fleet afoot surf class chargers splitting the peak (#2).
"Bidet" is French for small horse, however "bider" means to trot which actually makes some sense when needing to use a bidet...
