Lost Boys & Co...

"Blue Burnsy Blade Beats Back Big Bomborra Breakers"  (#1)  Finally, this weekend she was able to get the new whip into the water and give it a proper go.  Still working out some of the new board dynamics, she was impressed with the paddling and wave catching abilities and should be hanging out on the nose any time now.  Don't mention that it looks remotely like a Wave Storm, unless you want to get your orthodontics realigned...

Summer is running on empty as the heat wave is due to cool off this week.  10 miles visibility and hazy sunshine.  Winds were consistent out of the south at 3 to 5kts.  The sea surface was roughed up a bit and there were short wave intervals.  The air temperature was 66.1º and the water dropped a couple to 69.8º.  Low tide at 5:41am +2.5' and high tide fills in at 12:50pm +4.9'.  Setting up for some single tide days later in the week.  A mainly south swell out of 195º at 3.3'.  It was 3' with some bigger walls coming through.

No this isn't Dr. Nefario - It's our own Doc Scale (#2) who's been experimenting with X-ray glasses since the 60's.  He got his first pair from the back of a DC Comic book, which were sent to him by mistake when he ordered a packet of Sea Monkeys™.  A tireless innovator he initially could see through nylon stockings and fish net, whereas this latest iteration can see through tinted windows, shrink wrap and welders goggles.  10% inspiration, 90% perspiration...
