Lost Boys & Co...

Okay, THIS is the way you go camping...  A VW Bus tent.  Of course we just used the VW and forget about the tent.  Still, a way cool idea...

Went camping this weekend at San Elijo, with the Danger Boy fam and had a great evening Sunday night with them and Andrew and Kelly Staich, who blew down from Oceanside for the get together.  Overcast in the early morning with 10 miles visibility, but that blew off pretty quickly and bright sunshine was the order of the day.  Winds were offshore by 3kts and the sea surface was a kelp aided "glassy."  The air temperature was 60.7˚ and the water was listed at 63.9˚ at the buoy, but was more like 68˚ in the surfline (almost trunkable.)  Low tide was at 10:09am +1.4' and high tide was at 5:13pm +5.0'.  We have a SSW swell out of 212˚ at 2.3' and it was 1' to 2'.  Meanwhile, out at sea, there's a major "wind event" or what used to be called a "blow."  Blasting about from around 330˚ NW our sailor friends tell us that we're gonna get some waves.  Maybe tomorrow, but almost certainly by Wednesday...

Love on a bicycle...  Or, amour dans un vélocipède...  We saw this guy about to smell the rose and cautioned him about the visual.  He quickly withdrew, bowing thanks as he left...-
