Get On With Your Own Bad Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We always like to scoop the real blogs with cool art and products and this is no exception!  What we have here is both,  a one-of-a-kind sculptural piece that has been adapted to charge your cell phone(s.)  Executed by Steve "Birdie" Burdette and adapted by Ronnie Garcia, it suggests Jackson Pollack's flair for the random and thrilling use of color.  NOT cast, it is built from a tar paper substrate a drop at a time!  This process can take months and when the proper thickness is achieved Garcia uses his skilled eye to isolate each individual piece.  He must consider color, clarity, shape and size.  Obviously, each piece is unique.  They will be available for a limited time only at Brother's Burritos, 24 11th St. Hermosa Beach, CA.  ($375 and they will ship anywhere.)

Some good surf today!  Visibility was 20+miles and clear skies from the mountains to the sea.  Winds were off by 2.2kts and the sea surface was smooth. The air was a bit chilly at 59.1˚ and the water was 62.4˚.  Low tide was at 7:18am +0.0' and high tide is at 1:38pm +3.6'.  We have a west swell out of 263˚ at 3.9' and it looked bigger than that at 3' to 5' with some spitting outsides at the lower tides.

Been to the "Standing Room" in Hermosa lately?  This is the Genghis Khan.  It stands 7½" tall and carries the entire Mongol Empire on it's shoulders.  Angus beef, Mongolian BBQ. sweet potato fries and a fried egg on a perfect bun.  Cut it in half and still share it with your sweetie...
