Thumbtack Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Here we have a little high-tide, vernal equinox, more than half-way through the school year impromptu dance.  We feature Kris Hall, Emma Waldinger and Hali Honea...

Hazy sun this morning, giving way to a perfectly temperate day.  12 miles visibility, despite the marine humidity.  Winds were offshore by 3.3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp at checkout was 58.5˚ and the water was 63.0˚.  High tide was at 9:09am +5.9' and it will drop about a foot an hour until low tide at 3:32pm -0.9'.  We have a nice strong SSW swell out of 206˚ at 3.3' and the surf is 3' to 4', with some nice strong sets.  If you had the magic ticket this morning, like Ché, you got some long roping lefts.  If you didn't have the magic ticket (like the rest of us,) you got to watch and hope you learned something...

Out in the garden it's feeling a bit springish as well.  These hibiscus were blooming just above the edge of the fence, prompting the Professor to suggest that they were more appropriately "lo-biscus."
