Special Sunday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

It is with profound sadness that we must convey the passing of Ken Norris, long-time companion of Grandma Genevieve, Saturday evening March 21st.

Eighty-nine years old, Ken was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII.  He worked for AVRO Aviation in Canada and did mapping and high altitude and cold weather testing on early jets.  His stories were the kind of thing that legends are made of and he often was at his post in the Tiki Bar reminding us of the kind of men that went before us.

A true Lost Boy, he introduced the crew to the wisdom of the properly constructed rum & Coke® and remained a devotee until the very end.  He drove until the day before he passed and struck fear into the hearts of pedestrians, the constabulary and other drivers.

There will be a proper ceremony in about a month and we'll let you know when that will be taking place.  Until then, hoist a glass with an appropriate cocktail and send your best wishes into the ether...

Aloha Ken...
