March Leaves Like A Turkey Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

March came in like a lion and is now leaving like a turkey or maybe a manatee.  Not quite sure...

Who says all Portagee girls have mustaches?  There must be three or four of them in this pic that don't.  Then again one of them is four years old...  (L to R:  Taylor, Rebecca, Anna, Nathan, Jillian, Allison, the Professor, Lilly, Kristen, Kathy, Yoshi, Suzanne and Joey.  Photo Credit:  Azoreana Images)

Overcast skies clearing early to hazy sun and 10 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore in the am by 2.1kts and the sea surface was slightly bumped.  The air temperature was 57.3˚ and the water was 63.5˚.  High tide was at 7:52am +4.6' and low tide will be at 2:20pm +0.2'.  We have a south swell out of 190˚ that's pounding the south-facing beaches, but hitting us at 4.3' and looking 3' to 5' on the beach.

This is the "Stealth Black Hole" a Barahona-Paine effort based on the 2014 "Stealth J&F."  Shorter, wider entry and thinner by almost an inch.  Off to El Salvador on Saturday night to give it a go...  Good luck...  No idea why they call it the "black hole..."
