Tio Ted's Birthday Surf & Culture Reporty

Lost Boys & Co...

Clarke & Michael introduced us to Elisha two days ago and she's already:  learning how to surf, gotten lettuce from Clarke's garden, had two meals at Brother's and destroyed public property...  We thought she was doing pretty well until she wasted the sign, now she's fabulous!

20 miles visibility under clear skies.  Winds were lightly offshore by 3.6kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was a brisk 49º early and 56.7º in the water.  High tide was early at 4:29am +4.2' and low tide will follow at 12:05pm +0.4'.  We have a SSW swell out of 224º at 3.6' and it was 2' to 3' with an occasional outside.  As the swell direction moves further to the north we should get some better waves.  Check it this weekend...

Southern Mexico is well known for their fantastic fruits and vegetables.  #3 are some vine ripened papayas.  Unlike some of their northern cousins, these are creamy and sweet and don't have any stringiness.  #4 is a rainbow assortment of habañero chilies.  Looking at them, there's scarcely any way to tell which ones are pleasantly hot and flavorful and which ones will blow off the top of your head...
