Thursday the Thirteenth Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

If you thought Friday the 13th was bad...  Who knows what kind of havoc Thursday the 13th can wreak...

Schruting the curl (#1)...  We're doing this for the benefit of Steve Burke, who will now be able to download this image and maybe someday have it autographed by Dwight himself...

A beautiful late fall morning here in the South Bay.  15 miles visibility and not a cloud in the sky.  Winds were off by 4.5kts and the sea surface was smooth all day long.  The air temp was 49.9 chilblain producing degrees and you could warm up in the 62.6º water.  Low tide started things out at 6:38am +3.2' and high tide will follow at 12:03pm +4.2' for an entire foot more of fun.  We have a 3.6' WSW swell out of 255º and it was a pretty consistent 4'.  Supposed to diminish a bit over the next few days and then kick into high gear on Monday.  The forecasters can't decide if it's rain or just unstable air coming down, but make sure your woollies are close at hand...  No, not the sheep Bo-Peep...

Outside Beto's (#2) this sky-born wave was spotted north of Sunzal.  Maybe three or four hundred feet, definitely a tow-in situation...

This is exactly how Lost Boy's travel (#3)...  Helicopter, tie, hat, jacket and cocktail...  Take our word for it, you're never late if you show up like this...

Yes, it's GreenBelt for this week's happy hour...  5:30  You'll still have 10 days to finish your Christmas shopping and you'll feel better about it after a evening of banter, good food and strong drink...
