To A Friend Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Today marks three years since Doug "Danger Boy" Ball rode his final wave into eternity.  In some ways and on some days, that seems like a lot.  At other times, it feels like it just happened and I expect to seem him round a corner or hear his voice.  An original Lost Boy and a personal friend who's companionship I will always treasure, I know that his family and the many friends he left behind think of him every day...  (#1 Danger Boy ready to head out...)

Clear skies and 10 miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was 52.2 and the water is holding at 62.8.  High tide is at 10:33am +5.1' and low tide will be at 6:12pm +0.2'.  We have a west swell out of 260º at 4.6' and depending on your location it was 4' to 6' with some strong wave action pushing some water around...

I hope you all take a minute today and remember Danger Boy, but I also hope that you remember to say "I love you" to a dear one, give a friend a hug and be close to the ones you care about.  Hell, you might even do something nice to someone to whom you don't harbor warm fuzzy thoughts...  If nothing else it would get a laugh from Danger Boy...

Happy Hour this week will be at Greenbelt!  We'll try to get a table inside, but as always, be prepared...  5:30 on the pier plaza...

DANGER BOY AWAY!
