Mungo Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Kinda bumped in Hermosa (#1) this morning after the weather yesterday, but still some good ones on the odd sets.

Brilliant, clear blue skies and 20+ miles visibility.Winds were out of the east by 5.6kts and the sea surface had some residual bump from last night's winds.  The air was a chilly 39 and the water was 59.4, but we had a real start when we checked the temps and it came up 6º CELSIUS!  Kinda felt like 6º...Low tide was at 7:44am +1.8' and high tide was at 1:09pm +3.0'.  We have a WSW swell out of 258º at 4.3' and it was 3' to 5' and a couple of surprises every ten minutes or so...

"Cada dia é melhor do que o dia anterior"...  Portuguese for "Every day is better than the day before..."  It's the slogan we have adopted for this season.  It is also what a lot of people say just before things go to hell...  We're hoping for different results...

Apologies for all of those who have been trying to reach us this week.  Our phone crashed last Thursday and it's taken us 5 days to get a new one.  Actually, it's not a phone.  It's a device!  Like a computer, IM generator, camera, tide table, wind predictor, e-mail utility, direction guide, and innumerable other applications...  We'll be awaiting the Sruf Familia in the morning!

"Reflection with Red Rainbow" (#2)  Looks like winter to us...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
