Thermocheck Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Flyin' into Montana from over the pole...  Ski pole that is...  Up in the Big Sky with Buck, the Bubanator, The Maharishi Larkin, Kris, LoLa and the Professor.  Stated objective:  Cold Weather Recon.  Results:  Report to come...

If you hit it this morning you might have been golden!  Cloudy and rain finally fell around 9am.  Winds stayed offshore all morning and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was 55.5 and the water is 57.6 winterized degrees.  High tide was at 4:58am +4.7' and low tide follows at 12:26pm +0.0'.  We have a west swell out of 260º at 3.0' and the surf was 3' to 4' with some fun little wet ones...

LoLa waiting for everyone to catch up, on her way to about 3,000 vertical feet of downhill.  Her gambit was no nonsense, ski steady and use the hill to her advantage.  The Maharishi, and Buck had some impressive bursts of speed and the Professor carved some fluff, but when you got to the bottom... there she was...

Hanging with the locals the Professor ran into Lindsey Vonn at the Grizzly Outfitters while the Maharishi gave a lecture on the efficacy of four point buckles, with a flex index of 120 and a shell molded of plasticized yak.  She was busy on Monday, but they got together again as the Professor ran out of the store with her to get this photo...  A short scuffle ensued...

Happy hour at Laurel Tavern this Friday (the 1st).  5:25 for all heroes, 5:30pm for the weak and those needing encouragement.

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
