The Pirates Are Here Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Big clouds, blue skies (#1) and dodgy weather all on tap today as another front moves through.  This morning we have 10 miles visibility and freshening winds from 5.5kts to 15 to 20kts this afternoon.  The air temp was 52.0 and the water is 59.0.  High tide is early at 5:12am +5.5' and low tide follows at 12:43pm -0.5'.  We have a WSW swell out of 254º at 6.2' and it's 6' to 8' but a bit jumbled...

"West Hollywood is run like a laboratory on a pirate ship." Mayor Pro Tem John D'Amico made that statement this morning while addressing a room full of pirates and citizens from West Hollywood...  well, we applauded...  What a great city slogan though, "West Hollywood: A Laboratory On A Pirate Ship"  We were there with the pirates...

In case you've been out of touch, it's true, Marco (#2) from Porto, Portugal has washed up on our shores and he and his family (Raquel and Mateus) are living with the Professor for the next couple of months...  Catch him out in the water and say hello...

And, and, and yes!  We'll be gathering at R-10 (the restaurant, not the buoy) for a bit of hoomalimali at 5:30...  It won't be the same without you...  so come...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
