So, if you look closely at the first wave of this set, you'll see none other than Socrates Bard making his way down the face (#1).  Saturday dawned bumpy and wild, but Soc, Melissa Mazur and Johnny Juapo made it out and acquitted themselves well with some predominantly left slabs that left most of us on the beach watching...

Clear as the proverbial bell this morning with winds out of the north by 9kts.  The sea surface was bumped and uneven and the water temperature is a wind-aided 58.5, while the air is 41.1.  High tide was at 7:46am +6.7' and low tide will be a really low -1.7', attesting to the power of the full moon.  We have a west swell out of 267º at 5.6' and it should clean up nicely later today...

On Sunday, windy was an understatement...  We always like it when the flags fly UP! (#2)

Looking like the Kalahari (#3) not only was the Strand covered this morning, but the winds drove a copious amount of sand down the Pier Plaza and all the way to Hermosa Blvd...
