Wax'em Up Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Thanks to Reneé Evette our den mother and chronicler of all things Hermosan, for this great shot (#1) of a rainbow exploding beneath a dark sky.  Replete with palm trees and enough blue sky to give one hope for tomorrow...

Chilly this morning with the air temps around 40 and the water 59.7.  Finally below 60!  20+ miles visibility and clear windy skies gusting from 8 to 12 kts and the sea surface was bumped and rough.  High tide was at 9:33am +5.4' and low tide was at 4:28pm -0.3'.  We have a west swell out of 276º at 4.6' and the surf was 3' to 6' and pretty bumpy...

The checkout this morning with Chipper, Jah and Skippy (#2).  The Professor reported that the register of their voices was so high that they were actually conversing with dolphins that circled the pier.  Being that Skippy will be leaving for Las Vegas soon, they have decided to have a group surf mañana to give her a proper send-off.  Southside around 7:30 - 8 and dress appropriately...  Breakfast afterwards...

Saw this rig in the parking lot of Home Depot (#3).  Seems like it would have been just as easy to build a boat...

Patrick Malloy's this Friday...
