Thaw Me Out Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Miloe has a question for those hungry for some warm waves, great food and a break from the usual...
Do you think that there are any surfers on your list that would want to go with me to Mexico for a week of surfing May 25 - June 1?  If so would you ask...?
Consider yourselves asked...

Freeze-ass cold this morning at 41.1 (clarification:  Water freezes at 32f, the average ass freezes at 45f) and the water dipped below 60 to 59.5.  Clear as a bell with 20+ miles visibility and we didn't notice any clouds.  They might have all frozen and fallen to the ground.  High tide was at 10:03am +5.1' and low tide follows at 4:55pm +0.0'.  We have a west swell out of 271º at 3.3' and it was a fun rising tide 3' to 4'...  but it was cold...

Okay, photo #1 is what it looked like in Hermosa yesterday...  Photo #2 is Nazaré, Portugal about 8 hours earlier...  Yeah, and that speck on the wave is our friend Hugo Vau, making it look almost reasonable...  Like, "Yeah, it's about 50', but that left is lookin' good and the wind is perfect...  Maybe it'll get bigger and better with the tide!"

Here (#3) we have some street art from Eagle, Idaho...  This is one of those signal control boxes that they've taken to decorating using the talents of local artists...

The Professor sent this one (#40 with the title, "Muddy Sky With A Chance Of Stones"

As for the thirsty, social and hungry among you readers, it'll be Patrick Malloy's tomorrow at 5:30pm under the heat lamps...  Wear your woollies...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
