A Tactile Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Here (#1) we have the Professor snagging a little left on day #6 of the "Sliff 30 Day Challenge."  Despite the fact that it was warm he opted for his full suit because the Santana's were blowing offshore at 3 to 5 kts.  The sea surface was smooth.  At checkout the air temperature was already 72.3 and the early morning sea temperature was 66.9.  High tide was at 6:32am +4.2' and low tide was at 11:22am +3.0'.  The swell is from the SSW at 198º and it's 3.0'.  Being a tad oblique, we had 2' waves (as shown) and things kinda languished throughout the day...

Some picturesque coves along this stretch of the coast in Washington.  This particular spot (#2) is often home to fairly large swells, but the surfable waves usually come in at about 271º on the sandy beaches...

The Professor calls for backup from his hiding place in this burned out tree (#3).  "Send lawyers, guns and money..."

Patrick Malloy's this Friday for La Hora Felice.  Rumors abound that Tarzan will be joining us, fresh from his hemp adventures in Colorado.  Speaking of Colorado, Boomfwappa celebrated his birthday after returning from Green Bay and a Packers victory...  Many happy returns of the day!

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
