Wind Borne Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Here we have a portrait of some of our Hermosa Streakers.  From L. to R. there's Mr. Christian, Blakers, the Professor, Jah Morgan and Lena...  When "All streakers" were asked to line up for their photo, there was some question about whether this would be sans wetsuits.  Turns out the streak was referring to the 30 Day Streak and not the naked running sort...  Glad that got cleared up!  The Professor and staff photog, René Evette (#2) celebrate day number 7 for the Professor.  We're hoping the surf comes up a bit for some better go-outs...

Hazy sun this morning for another hot one in the So. Bay.  Winds were offshore by 2.9kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temperature at checkout was 65.3 and the water is 66.9.  High tide was at 7:00am +4.7' and low tide will be at 12:25pm +2.3'.  We have a SSW swell out of 206º at 2.6' and it was a wally crashy 2'.  Might be worth a look at Longfellow in the morning...

There are a lot of questions why A-1 Painting doesn't get more work (#3).  A lot has to do with the van.  It's got a shitty paint job, so it reduces our confidence right off the bat.  Then there's the rumors about him painting with Carnation French Vanilla creamer, instead of traditional latex paint.  Yes, it's a great color, yes it's got a convenient dispenser and of course it smells and tastes great.  But it hasn't got that longevity we've come to expect.  Finally, there's the sign... Certainly creative, but maybe a bit rushed...

On our way back home LoLa enjoys the view of Seattle from the Ferry (#4).  When there's the opportunity the ferries can be a great way to cut out a bit of driving and see things from the water perspective...

Patrick Malloy's for the thirsty, hungry and curious.  Friday at 6pm on the patio.  Maybe this warm weather will hold out!
