Fox New Wednesday Surf & Culture Report (Let's Try This Again...)

Lost Boys & Co...

Initially sighted in Hermosa, these Red Foxes (#1) made their way along the sand to Manhattan, where they disappeared into the tree section looking for domestic not-so-wildlife to eat.  Why this is so much news has more to do with them running along the beach in broad daylight, rather than whether or not they're native to this habitat.  Heaven knows, there have been foxes on the beach for ages...

A beautiful morning with some brilliant waves.  Like this left (#2) near the 10th St. tower.  Clear skies and 20+miles visibility with offshore winds at 3 to 5kts and smooth surface conditions.  The air temperature was 47.8º chilly and the water was 59.0º.  High tide was at 9:30am +6.7' and low tide will be at 4:53pm -1.3'.  We have a west swell out of 274º at 3.3' and it was 3' to 4-5'...  Some fun ones while the tide peaked things up...

65 years of surfing experience here, with Doc ? and Barahona Team Rider Dylan Roa (#3).  Of course 55 of those years belong to Doc, but who's counting.  Note the Barahona Surfboards magnetic sign on Dylan's door.  The rule about this sign is that if it's on your car, you need to post it on Instagram or bad luck will follow you until it doesn't.  Mr. Christian had it on his truck and didn't post it and he was unable to go left for almost three weeks.  Fireman Dave had it on his truck and sat on a fish.  Dani wanted to put it on her electric car and got caught in fishing lines next to the pier.  By the time she got untangled she was on her way to Carson to be fried for lunch...  Pay attention..

Could be windy tomorrow, so we'll check it early and see if we can beat the hawk.  Swell still seems to be holding steady (#4), so let's see what's what...
