Go With The Flow Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Yesterday marked the anniversary of the passing of our great friend and surfer Doug "Danger Boy" Ball (#1).  Scarcely a day goes by where his memory is not invoked or his feats recounted.  We remain honored having been graced by his presence and taught by his example...  "Danger Boy AWAAAY"...

The surf appears to be holding steady (#2) and there were some nice ones this morning.  Cloudy and cool, the air was 51.5º and the water is 59.7º.  Winds were light onshore by 3 to 4kts and the sea surface was smooth.  High tide was at 6:08am +6.3' and low tide follows at 1:00pm -0.3'.  We have a WSW swell out of 249º at 3.0' and it was 3' to 5' with some bracing walls all the way to the beach...  Check it mañana!

Already, three of these (#3) practical two gallon buckets have been swept up in the hysteria!  The Professor has 5 of these classic plastic pails remaining in his bus, ready to be given to the pure of heart and those of most desperate necessity.  Their uses are many and it's needless for us to enumerate them here, but if you are in need of one of these gems (or more than one) then you should know they will be available at the morning checkout in Hermosa...

(#4)  Why are these men laughing?  Mostly because it's two weeks until Christmas and you haven't finished your shopping!  Get on with it!

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
