Happy St. Patrick's Thursday Surf & Culture report

Lost Boys & Co...

And a Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!  Members of the McNulty School of Irish Dance (#1) were present to welcome the morning in the best Irish fashion!  Mind the hoppy-two's...

It was pea-soup fog in Redondo (#2) this morning as we checked out an impenetrable Sapphire (if you look closely you can see the fog bank beyond the harbor).  Hermosa had fine visibility and 2 to 3kt on shore winds bumping things up a bit.  The air temp was 51.5º and the water is 58.6º.  9:22am for the high tide +5.5' and low tide follows at 3:53pm -0.5'.  We have a bouncing west swell out of 262º at 4.3' and it was 4' to 6' and it had size and power despite the rising tide...

You might imagine Kevin Sousa (#3) was saying, "Didn't we just do this in Mexico?"  Well, yes we did, but it seems there's a legal catch in having a ceremony done out of the country for American citizens.  So they did it AGAIN!  The best part was that there were some folks who couldn't make the trek and they were able to make it to this ceremony!  The other fun aspect of all this, was that they recited the vows at Brother's Burritos (#4)!  This was the first time Brother's had hosted a wedding (and we can imagine it won't be the last!)  They even comped the white wedding hats for the bride and groom!
